We're a medical aesthetics clinic, and yes, that means the room is spotless and everything is single use.

But it also means you're being looked after by people who actually know skin.

We ask before we start. Retinol, acids, medications, recent treatments. These all change what your skin can comfortably handle, and it's the kind of thing that's easy to miss if nobody thinks to ask. We ask.

We take our time with you, not with the wax. Being quick with the wax is what makes it comfortable. Being unhurried with you is what makes it pleasant. We can do both.

We'll be honest with you. If waxing isn't serving you well, if the ingrowns are constant, if you've been at it for years and you're tired of it, we'll say so and talk to you about laser instead. We'd rather you had the right thing than kept booking the wrong one.

What Waxing Actually Does For You

Waxing removes hair from the root, so it grows back finer and softer than it would after shaving, and it takes its time coming back.

Most people find that the longer they stick with it, the better it gets. Appointments spread further apart. Regrowth gets sparser. Each one is a little more comfortable than the last.

Mostly, though, it buys you three to six weeks of not thinking about it. Which is the real reason any of us do it.

Vajacial

The Bit That Makes The Rest Of It Worth It

A vajacial is aftercare for the most delicate skin you have, and it does more than the name suggests.

It's usually booked straight after a Brazilian, when the skin is freshly waxed and at its most reactive. We exfoliate, clear congestion, take care of any ingrowns, and finish with a cooling jelly mask that calms redness and settles everything down.

It's the difference between skin that's been waxed and skin that's been looked after.

Before You Come In

A few small things that make a real difference.

Let your hair grow to about a quarter inch. Any shorter and the wax has nothing to hold onto. Longer is completely fine, we'll work with it.

Exfoliate the day before, not the day of. Freshly scrubbed skin is more sensitive than it needs to be.

Skip the moisturiser that morning. Wax likes a clean surface.

If you're sensitive, timing helps. The week before your period is the most tender time to book a Brazilian. Not off limits, just worth knowing.

And if you're taking anything, using retinol, or you've had a treatment recently, just mention it when you arrive. We'll take it from there.

Questions We Get A Lot

How long will it last?
Three to six weeks, depending on the area and your own hair cycle. The more consistently you wax, the longer it holds, because the regrowth gets finer over time.

Does it hurt?
A little, and we won't pretend otherwise. But it hurts far less than people expect, it hurts less every time, and it hurts a lot less when the person doing it knows what they're doing. Your first Brazilian is the worst one you'll ever have. It gets easier from there.

Can I wax if I use retinol or acids?
Give it a five-day break before any facial waxing, and the same goes for glycolic or salicylic acid. These thin the very top layer of skin and waxing over them can lift skin rather than just hair. It's the most common cause of a bad wax, and it's completely avoidable. Just tell us what you're using.

What about ingrowns?
Exfoliate two or three times a week between appointments and try not to shave in between. If they're a persistent problem for you, a vajacial makes a real difference.

Is waxing right for everyone?
Almost. We'll ask a few questions before we start, mostly about medications and skincare. And if waxing isn't the right call for you, we'll tell you honestly and point you toward laser instead.
